Modeling Panel
The Modeling Panel provides geometry manipulation, property matching, pattern creation, and batch editing tools. It combines what were historically separate Edit and Fix panels into a single unified workspace for all element modification tasks.

Colorize Group TypesNudge Tools
Fine-tune element placement when snapping is too coarse or when you need precise incremental adjustments. Nudge tools move selected elements by a configurable increment (default 1/8") in plan or elevation views. Each direction has its own button for one-click access.

Rotation Tools
Apply quick rotation presets without picking a rotation center or typing an angle. All rotations are applied around each element's individual center point, so multiple elements rotate in place rather than orbiting a shared origin.

Flip Tools
Smart Flip
Correct element orientation without guessing which flip parameter to use. Smart Flip analyzes the selected element's type and applies the appropriate flip operation: hand flip for doors, facing flip for walls, or axis flip for generic families. The dropdown provides direct access to Flip Hand and Flip Facing for cases where you need explicit control.

How to use:
- Select one or more elements.
- Click Smart Flip -- the tool detects the correct flip operation automatically.

Transform Tools
Additional geometry transformations beyond nudge, rotate, and flip.

Local Mirror
Mirror selected elements around their own internal Local Y-axis. Use it to flip elements in place without defining a common mirror axis or picking a reference line.

How to use:
- Select one or more elements.
- Run Local Mirror (or press JZ).
- Each element flips in place around its local Y-axis.
Zero Elevation
Reset the Base Offset and Top Offset parameters of selected elements to 0. Useful for cleaning up walls, columns, and beams that have accumulated offset values that should sit flat on their host levels.

How to use:
- Select Walls, Columns, or Beams.
- Run Zero Elevation (or press JY).
- Both offsets are set to 0.0.
Match Tools
Transfer properties between elements with fine-grained control. Match is a splitpushbutton -- click the large button to open the parameter selection dialog, or use the dropdown for quick-match variants.
Match -- Parameter Transfer
Transfer specific parameter values from one element to others with full control over which parameters are copied. Unlike Revit's Match Type Properties, this tool lets you pick individual parameters and works across different element types where parameters share the same name.

How to use:
- Click Match to open the parameter selection dialog.
- Pick the source element.
- Select which parameters to transfer.
- Pick one or more target elements.
- Review and confirm the changes.

Pattern Tools
Make Pattern
Create custom Fill Patterns from detail lines drawn in a view. Select lines that form a repeating tile, and Make Pattern converts them into a Revit Fill Pattern that you can assign to materials, filled regions, and surface patterns. The dropdown provides Batch Import PAT Files for importing existing pattern files.

How to use:
- Draw the pattern tile using detail lines in a drafting view.
- Select the lines that form one repeat unit.
- Click Make Pattern and configure the pattern name and type (drafting or model).
- Preview the repeating pattern and adjust if needed.
- Click Create to add the Fill Pattern to the project.

Batch Import PAT Files
Import multiple AutoCAD PAT files into the Revit project in one operation. Point the tool at a library of hatch pattern files and it loads them all, creating Model or Drafting patterns based on each file's definition.

Override Tools
Override VG
Apply Visibility/Graphics overrides to selected elements without navigating the VG Overrides dialog. Select elements, choose override settings (line weight, color, pattern, transparency), and apply in one click.

- Applies in the active view only

- Select elements to override.
- Click Override VG and configure the override settings.
- Click Apply to set the overrides in the active view.

Edit Tools
General-purpose editing operations for lines, fonts, tags, and other model elements.

Merge Parts
Combine multiple selected Part elements into a single merged part. Use it when a host was split into parts for phasing or fabrication and adjacent parts need to be treated as one unit again.
Key features:
- Merges any number of Part elements in a single transaction
- Reports how many parts were merged on completion

How to use:
- Select two or more Part elements in the model.
- Run Merge Parts (or press JB).
- The selected parts are combined into a single merged part.
Place Origin Marker
Place a visible cross marker at the project Earth origin (0, 0, 0). Use it to confirm model positioning against the survey origin or to establish a shared visual reference when coordinating with linked models.
Key features:
- Creates a permanent reference marker at absolute coordinates 0, 0, 0
- Provides a visual anchor for project base point and survey alignment checks

How to use:
- Open any view where the origin should be visible.
- Run Place Origin Marker (or press JI).
- A cross marker is placed at the Earth origin and remains until manually deleted.
Group Tools
Colorize Group Types
Visually distinguish different group types in a view by applying a unique color override to each. Useful for auditing group usage, identifying unintended group proliferation, or verifying that groups are assigned to the correct type.

- Works on model and detail groups
- Applies in the active view only
How to use:
- Run Colorize Group Types from the Modeling panel.
- Review the color legend showing which color maps to which group type.
- Navigate the view to inspect group distribution.

Attached Detail Groups
Manage attached detail groups for model group types. Lists all model group types with their attached detail group associations and lets you toggle visibility of attached detail groups across all instances of a selected model group type. Use it to control attached detail group visibility when coordinating model and detail group display across views.

Group Health Report
Comprehensive dashboard showing group statistics across the model. Displays per-type metrics including instance count, nesting depth, text-note detection, and unused-type identification. Run it before milestones to audit group hygiene and report on model cleanliness to project leadership.

Rename Group Types
Batch-rename group types using search/replace, prefix/suffix, and regex. Enforce naming standards across inherited project groups by removing prefixes, adding suffixes, or applying pattern replacement. A two-phase rename pass prevents mid-batch name collisions.

Unused Group Types
Find group types with zero placed instances and selectively delete them. Shows group type name, category (Model/Detail), and instance count, and allows multi-select for batch deletion with confirmation. Use it for pre-milestone cleanup to remove stale group definitions without the nuclear option of purging all unused groups.
