Data Panel
Tools for managing project data, enforcing naming standards, editing parameters in bulk, and working with materials. The Data panel is on the core Pyvoid tab.
Type Swap
Consolidate fragmented type libraries by swapping and merging element types across the project from a single modeless window. Type Swap is surfaced from Pyvoid > Data > Data pulldown and stays open while you inspect the model, pick source types, and execute cleanup work category by category.
Key features:
- Multi-category support for text, dimensions, line styles, materials, walls, floors, and other type-driven categories
- Modeless workflow so you can inspect the model without reopening the tool
- Search, filter, and sort controls within each category tab
- Multi-source to single-target swaps plus duplicate-detection and merge support
- Pick-from-model workflow to locate a type from an element already placed in the project
Getting Started
- Open Type Swap from the Data panel or press
Ctrl+Shift+Y. - Choose a category tab such as
Text Types,Dimension Types,Line Styles, orMaterials. - Browse or search the type grid to find non-standard source types.
- Select the replacement target type, then click Swap or Merge as appropriate.
- Re-run the ribbon button at any time to focus the same modeless window instead of opening a duplicate.
Tips
- Start with text, dimension, and line-style cleanup when standardizing a legacy project.
- Use the pick workflow to identify the type behind a problematic element before deciding on a target.
- Follow Type Swap with Wipe Hub if the old source types now have zero remaining usage.
Visualization
Color Splasher
Visualize parameter values by coloring elements in the active view. Color Splasher color-codes elements by any type or instance parameter so you can quickly spot spatial patterns, verify parameter completeness, or flag elements that still need attention.

- Automatic color assignment with customizable palettes
- Legend overlay showing the color-to-value mapping
- Persistent mode keeps overrides across view changes
Select a category, pick a parameter, assign colors to values, then click Apply to override element graphics in the view.
Standards
Conform Names
Cross-category rule-based name standardization across views, sheets, families, materials, and more - one rule set applied to the whole model. Conform Names goes beyond single-category numbering with abbreviation dictionaries, office-standard prefixes and suffixes, regex patterns, and duplicate-name resolution, with a live preview before anything writes.

Run the tool, select element types, configure naming rules, review the preview, and apply. Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+N. Shift+Click opens the Settings Hub.
Rename Sheets/Views
Batch rename sheets, views, or viewports using standardized casing rules. Select elements or pick a scope, then choose a casing rule (Title, UPPER, lower, Sentence, camelCase) and all matching names update in one transaction. Hold Shift to preview without applying. Shortcut: HR.
Spell Check
Batch check spelling across text notes, view names, sheet names, schedule headers, and more - catching typos before you print or issue deliverables.

- Auto-fix capability for common misspellings
- Supports text notes, view names, legend names, and schedule headers
Select the scope to scan, review flagged errors, and pick suggestions or add words to your dictionary. Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+S. Shift+Click opens the Settings Hub.
Material Studio
Standardize material names and apply MasterFormat classification prefixes so materials comply with both office naming standards and industry classification systems.
Key features:
- Name normalization with capitalization and translation rules
- MasterFormat division prefix auto-assignment
- Find-and-replace with custom replacement tables
- Filter to target specific materials
Use Standardize Names to apply naming rules, or Auto-Classify to add MasterFormat prefixes. Configure behaviour in Settings. Shortcut: HM.
Worksharing
Conform Worksets
Classify elements into standardized worksets automatically using configurable rules instead of manually reassigning elements one at a time. Conform Worksets evaluates a hierarchy of rule types -- category, phase, linked-model detection, and spatial scope box containment -- and applies hosted element inheritance so nested components follow their host. Preview all proposed reassignments before committing, and inline conform buttons let you apply changes workset group by workset group. Missing worksets are created automatically when the rules reference names not yet in the project.

Getting Started
- Open Conform Worksets from the Data panel or press
HW. - Review the default rule set or load a project-specific configuration.
- Click Preview to run the rule evaluation and see all proposed workset assignments.
- Review the results grouped by workset - each row shows the element, current workset, proposed workset, and the rule that matched.
- Use the inline conform button on any group to apply only that workset's changes, or click Apply All to commit everything in one transaction.

Tips
- Place category rules before phase rules when your firm's standard has category as the primary classifier.
- Use scope box rules to handle zones like core-and-shell versus tenant improvement in mixed-use projects.
- Run a preview before any milestone submission to catch elements that drifted to the wrong workset during coordination.
Families
Family Reviser
Browse, rename, and manage all families loaded into the active project from a single searchable inventory. Family Reviser provides a grid-based view of every loaded family with batch rename, type management, health auditing, and export capabilities -- eliminating the need to open the Family Editor for routine organization tasks. Requires Revit 2022 or later.

- Batch rename using find-and-replace, prefix/suffix, or regex patterns
- Type management - view, rename, and delete types from within the project without opening the Family Editor
- Health audit flagging families with missing parameters, inconsistent naming, or oversized geometry

Getting Started
- Open Family Reviser from the Data panel (requires Revit 2022+).
- Browse or search the family inventory grid - filter by category, name, or health status.
- Select one or more families for batch operations.
- Use the Rename toolbar action to apply a transformation to all selected families.
- Click a family row to expand its types and manage them individually.
- Run Audit to flag families with health issues, then review and address flagged items.

Tips
- Run the health audit on imported families from consultants before coordinating to catch naming and parameter issues early.
- Use the CSV export to share a family inventory with a client or BIM manager for review.
- Batch prefix all furniture families with a vendor code before distributing a project standard.
Parameters
Parameter Jammer
Full parameter lifecycle management across shared, project, and global parameters with dependency-aware deletion. Revit 2027's multi-value edit and Type Selector from schedules handle in-place value changes; Parameter Jammer is the layer above that - creating parameters, binding them, auditing unused definitions, and deleting them safely after checking every element and view that references them. It is the only tool that understands parameter health across definition, binding, and usage.

Click to open the Parameter Explorer, use Refresh to load parameters from the current document, then select parameters and use the action buttons. Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+J.
DataLink
Open a bidirectional spreadsheet editor for reading and writing Revit element parameters in an inline grid backed by Excel roundtrip. DataLink loads elements by configurable scope, presents their parameters as editable cells with type-aware editors, and tracks pending changes in a single-transaction model so every edit can be undone at once. Shared type parameters trigger warnings before writing to prevent unintended mass edits. Linked model parameters are also accessible for read and write operations.

Getting Started
- Open DataLink from the Data panel or press
Ctrl+Shift+B. - Select a scope - model-wide, current selection, or active view.
- Click Load to populate the grid with elements and their parameter values.
- Configure visible columns using the column chooser to show only relevant parameters.
- Click any cell to edit its value inline - changed cells are highlighted until committed.
- Review the pending changes summary, then click Apply to write all changes in one transaction.
- To work offline, click Export to Excel, edit in Excel, then Import the file back.

Tips
- Use the selection scope when working on a specific area - load only what you intend to edit to keep the grid manageable.
- Export to Excel for any edit session that requires sign-off or review before committing changes.
- Type parameter warnings appear before Apply - read them carefully, as one edit may affect every element sharing that type.
Export
Quick Export
One-click export of selected elements or the active view to Excel. If elements are selected, Quick Export exports their parameters. Otherwise it exports all elements visible in the active view. Shift+Click exports to CSV instead of Excel.
Key features:
- Context-aware scope: exports selected elements when a selection exists, active view elements otherwise
- Excel export as the default output format
- Shift+Click variant for CSV output without reopening options
- Exports all readable parameters for each element in the resolved scope
Getting Started
- Optionally select elements in Revit whose parameters you want to export.
- Click Quick Export in the Data panel to export to Excel.
- To export as CSV instead, hold Shift while clicking the button.
- Choose a save location in the file dialog and confirm.
Tips
- Use the selection scope with a filter-based selection (Select All Instances) to export a focused set, such as all doors or all rooms.
- CSV export via Shift+Click is convenient when feeding data into scripts or other tools that do not need Excel formatting.
- For more control over which parameters are visible and editable, use DataLink instead.
Standards
One file drives the five Pyvoid governance tools (Conform Names, Workset Conform, Template Manager, Spell Check, ReViewer). The Standards button opens a modeless YAML editor with inline schema validation, diff-against-last-loaded + git diff, and a file watcher that auto-reloads every consumer when the file is saved.

Getting Started
- Open Standards from the Data panel. On first click, pick Start Migration Wizard to scan existing configs or Create from template for a greenfield firm.
- Review each consumer's proposed YAML in the wizard; Accept, Reject, or edit inline.
- Click Save standards.yaml. The five consumers pick up the new rules on their next run.
- Routine edits: open Standards, edit one line, Save. The watcher auto-reloads the consumers.
Tips
- Use Dry Run in the wizard to write
standards.dryrun.yamlalongside the canonical file before committing. - The file is plain YAML with comments — put it in git, diff against last week, hand it to a new hire on Monday.
